What car should i get a Toyota 4runner or a Honda Civic?

I have to choose between these two cars and i dont know which, the toyota 4 runner is a 1997, 4 cylinders, and has 154,000 miles. The honda civic is a 1999, 4 cylinder, and has 123,000. I think the Honda civic is the better, as I know the Honda has a good record. Again it depends on the condition of it. The Honda is newer with less miles but it may have a major problem. I would go with the 1999 civic cause it's less old. Plus you could trick it out with all kinds of stuff. But if you need a vehicle for space than you should go with the 4 runner.

Normally it's better with the lesser mileage on it though.
