How to replace Toyota Corolla 07 Positive Terminal?

I have a toyota corolla 07 and the positive terminal has a bad case of corrosion. I want to replace the positive terminal head. I was wondering if all I needed to do was remove the nut and put in a new screw type terminal head? How to replace Toyota Corolla 07 Positive Terminal? It shouldn't be that difficult, but in most cases the old terminal end will need to be cut off. Since you are repairing the positive, I would recommend removing the negative cable from the battery, to prevent the possibilty of shorting across the battery. Remove negative first, and install negative last. Hope this helps. ChristopherHow to replace Toyota Corolla 07 Positive Terminal?Remove the negative terminal first.

If the cable terminals are molded to the cable - a good cleaning may be all that is necessary since it is an '07.

Remove the pos terminal and soak in a small container of 50/50 baking soda and water to dissolve the acid. Brush it and soak it again. Use a battery terminal wire brush to clean both terminals and both posts down to clean, shiny lead. Intall pos first then the negative and coat with clear silicone grease or chassis grease.

Caution: dont let the corrosion/acid get on your clothes, in your eyes or on your skin. How to replace Toyota Corolla 07 Positive Terminal? You should change the cable it is better in the long run.But just because you have corrosion doesn't mean its bad clean and inspect.
