I have a 1986 toyota van that quits running?
Ok my 86 toyota van will just stop running while i'm driving down the roat. I have done a complete tune up and changed the fuel filter. After sitting a few minutes it will restart. Any one have an Idea whats up. I put a new fuel pump in when I bought it in 2002. We have a 179,000 miles and uses no oil . Help I love this van.I have a 1986 toyota van that quits running?I have no idea why it quits running, but I'm sure it runs great whenever you have the mechanic standing next to it. That's the real issue...being ready to diagnose it when it fails.
I'm sure you'd be able to tell if it was fuel related as the engine is starved for gas, chokes a few times and dies. Yours sound more like an electrical problem, maybe a oxygen sensor sending the wrong data to the computer. I think I'd get one of the cheapest diagnostic tools I could find(on board computer reader) and keep it connected under the dash. Only you will be there when the van dies, and then you'll have data to share with the mechanic. Try JC Whitney.com for cheap automotive tools and good luck.

How do i make the beep beep silent on my toyota?
I drive a 2007 FJ Cruiser and I don't want it do beep everytime I unlock/lock the doors. I read in the manual and it said nothing about it. I have tried pushing both the unlock and the lock button at the same time like on the 4runners.
it doesn't use the horn, it beeps like a toyota not a chevy or GMC. i have tried holding down just the unlock button (didn't work) and then I tried holding down just the lock button (didn't work) and then I tried holding both down (didn't work)How do i make the beep beep silent on my toyota?Get "beeper going, - trace down location by sound, and unplug that annoying "sucker"! That is what I do with my cars. I save it and put it back in when getting rid of car so that next person can "enjoy it"! For instance if it warns you the headlignts are on when you remove the key, you will have to be smart enough to turn them off without "warning"!
Even more annoying are the ones that "talk to you" incessently, if you are just sitting in seat and the key is in the ignition. I want to get this little Toyota car, but I was told it keeps shorting out alternators. My cousin, who's Toyota Tacoma broke in two parts while driving, ran out and bought another Tacoma, after just having a full brain lobotomy. Mysteriously, he recalled none of them, and went straight out and bought a Camry as well, which ended up in a ravine after over-accelerating. Fortunately, even with his lobotomy, he was able to remember to jump out and escape injury before before the Camry went over. The toyota is a good car and has a good ride quality so it should be ok for him to have. and the acelerator problem is nothing to really worry about.

I have a Toyota Scion XB, I have a toddler and a baby on the way, so I am looking at double strollers, but since my trunk is so small, I was wondering if anyone has experience fitting a double stroller in the trunk....What double strollers fit in the back of a Toyota Scion XB?Sorry, I don't have any experience in a small trunk. But what I would do is measure the inside space of your trunk and go to a baby/child shop (like Babys R Us) and ask someone who works there to fold up there double strollers and see if one is small enough to fit.
