I bought a 1995 toyota corolla and suddenly it will not go into gear at all. The clutch pedal seems softer than usual. Im hoping its this slave cylinder Ive been researching any info will help.Does a 1995 toyota corolla have a hydraulic assist?I am not sure but I don't think they are hydraulic clutch. You can check easily but popping open the hood. Hydraulic assist uses a fluid, in this case brake fluid, to develop hydraulic pressure. The reservoir for the clutch fluid is always small and typically near the brake fluid reservoir. Check it out.

yes it has a hydraulic clutch. It's low on fluid,or there's air in the system. If it's low on fluid, there's either a leak in the line coming from the clutch to the slave cylinder, the master cylinder where the reservoir is,or the slave cylinder itself. If there's air in it,then there's most likely a leak.Does a 1995 toyota corolla have a hydraulic assist? So you need it towed to a toyota garage to get it fixed then.
the clutch master cylinder and slave or it could be just the pipework has failed.Does a 1995 toyota corolla have a hydraulic assist?
You could have air in the clutch hydraulics. Bleed it out and refill with new brake fluid. air can compress while the fluid cannot.Does a 1995 toyota corolla have a hydraulic assist?Yes.
