Anybody know how to open the smart key fob for a 2007 Prius with the silver Toyota logo?

I have heard that you can remove the emergency key and there's a slot you can twist to open, but apparently the fobs with the silver Toyota logo are different.Anybody know how to open the smart key fob for a 2007 Prius with the silver Toyota logo?Instructions to open your keyfob (smart or non-smart, doesn't matter) are in the owner's manual in the Keys and Doors section, so that you can change the remote's battery.

If you still need further instructions, you can get them with photos here:

Yes, you first take out the emergency metal key (which opens the driver's door). at the end of the fob near where the key was, there's a slide button to slide across, while you push to slide the Toyota logo cover off towards that button. (It's not easy to do, especially if you've never opened the cover before, and/or you aren't very nimble.) Then, with a teeny tiny phillips head screwdriver (watch-type), you can remove the 4 screws to open the cover over the CR2032 battery.Anybody know how to open the smart key fob for a 2007 Prius with the silver Toyota logo?On your smart key fob there are two small rectangles on the sides (about level with the unlock button). You can see the side of the key inside the fob. Now on the bottom of the fob (the side that is closest to the emergency horn button) there is a slide with a very small arrow. pull the slide in the direction of the arrow, and pull out the key from the bottom left corner.

It is tight and will stick the first couple times you take it out.

I have never had to use it.

Hope this helps!!!Anybody know how to open the smart key fob for a 2007 Prius with the silver Toyota logo? You just move the slider and then slide the key out. Exactly what Pattice said
