Why would you pay 30k for a Lexus when you can get the same car- a Toyota for way cheaper?

What is the deal? Toyota and Lexus both use the same cheap quality parts, just because Lexus reputation is so high as a luxury car doesn't make it better than other luxury cars. For example an Infiniti M45 or an Audi's a typically around the same price as Lexus's and they use way better parts.Why would you pay 30k for a Lexus when you can get the same car- a Toyota for way cheaper?I look at it the same way. Also, why would I want to buy a car for 30k when I can buy a decent - in shape house - for the same price, put 30k more into it and turn it around and sell it for 100k? Then use that money to buy a car that is 3 yrs old, 60k miles with 2yrs left on the the warranty for about 5k and walk away with money left over. When cars become the prices of small homes or 6 yrs worth of house payments, it's definitely time to rethink the economy in which we live.

the parts infiniti mostly uses are nissan parts so i dont see how your gonna say lexus uses cheap parts.. infiniti does the same thing..



audi is just an expenisive vw, audi uses vw parts so see its pretty much the same for all different car brands

Lexus use far nicer materials like the leather is way nicer, the wood grain is real unlike toyota which is fake, the Lexus has way more features. it's a nicer car. if you think they are the same then go for the toyota but take into consideration that Lexus is the top selling luxury car in the U.S. because it's (the same as a toyota) according to you...Why would you pay 30k for a Lexus when you can get the same car- a Toyota for way cheaper?
I'm not so concern about whether you really understand the difference between toyota and lexus in terms of the overall quality, driving experience, luxury, etc....but one thing you should keep it mind that once GM goes bankrupt then your Malibu will become just a piece of junk and you should get rid of it now or regret later....or another option will be why you need to consider selling it since you are already driving the cheapest car now? Not to be mean but you really need to do more research before asking the question above...

Toyota makes Lexus and Scion just 1 has less bling and 1 more. Honda and Acura, Nissan and Infiniti-all the same. The Camry is made same place as es300. A Camry XLE V6 and loaded is 32,000 and Lexus is 36,000. People like the name. The parts are best made as all 3 brands are most reliable in world. And to the person who said Lexus is top selling car in US it is in luxery car class. Camry is best selling car and Toyota is best selling New brand.
ask yourself, Luxury vs economic. Infiniti parts arent that much better. Audi is german, all the german car makers use high quality expensive parts... in comparison to japanese
