Where might I start to troubleshoot the cruise control on my toyota camry 93'?

It powers fine, so I'm guessing it's not a fuse. The dash light just blinks when I try to set the speed. The owners manual indicates I take it to a Toyota dealership...which I'm not concerned enough about cruise control to do.Where might I start to troubleshoot the cruise control on my toyota camry 93'?I have a 95 Toyota Avalon that has your same unit that does the same thing and it is pricey to fix....ya gotta have instruments to diagnose the problem because it could be several different failures

I read about my Grand Marquis cruzz problem %26amp; found several others with the same car %26amp; problem. Someone posted they had a bad batch of switches on the steering wheel around that time. Got a new switch from Ford, changed it in the parts department parking lot with a pocket knife, %26amp; no problems since then.Where might I start to troubleshoot the cruise control on my toyota camry 93'?The place to start is the brake switch - it should be separate from the brake light switch but I'm not sure about that. Beyond the brake switch you get into the weeds pretty fast.
