Actually, I was able to find the reset procedure in my copy of the 2007 Corolla Owner's Manual, on page 110. (Mine is an electronic PDF copy, so the page number could be off by a little from the paper version. It's listed as page 118 of the PDF, but the page itself says 110). Anyway, here's what that said;

Reset the system by the following procedure:

Turn the ignition key to the “ACC” or “LOCK” position with the odometer reading shown.

(For details, see “Odometer and two trip meters” on page 100 in this Section.)

Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates “000000” and the light goes off.

Here's the relevant section referred to in the earlier segment, as being located on page 100;

This meter displays the odometer and two trip meters when the ignition switch is on.

1. Odometer—Shows the total distance the vehicle has been driven.

2. Two trip meters—Show two different distances independently driven since the last time each trip meter was set to zero.

You can use one trip meter to calculate the fuel economy and the other to measure the distance on each trip. All trip meter data is cancelled if the electrical power source is disconnected.

3. Trip meter reset knob—Resets the two trip meters to zero, and also change

the meter display.

To change the meter display, quickly push and release the knob. The meter display changes in the order from the odometer to trip meter A to trip meter B, then back to the odometer each time you push.

To reset the trip meter A to zero, display the meter A reading, then push and hold the knob until the meter is set to zero. The same process can be applied for resetting the trip meter B.

And although I can't explain this, when I looked it up on the Alldata Technicians Reference, it seemed to vary from what Larry L posted as apparently being from that same source;

1. Turn the ignition switch to the On position and ensure that the LCD display screen is in the odometer mode.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the Off position.

3. While pressing the TRIP switch button, turn the ignition switch On. Hold the button down through the entire reset procedure.

4. Continue to push the TRIP switch button for at least 5 seconds. The reset operation is completed in 5 seconds.

5. Turn the ignition switch to the Off position.

6. Turn the ignition switch On again and confirm that the oil replacement reminder light stays on for 1 seconds and then goes Off.

7. Place the ignition switch in the Off position.How to reset the Maintenance required light on my 07 Toyota Corolla, Hope you can help?you have got some good advice here the holding of the trip meter reset is correct but you may have to have it set to trip A before shuting the key off then hold the trip meter reset in while turning the key to the on position wait for the little lines to count down and show all 0 depending on year and model it may need to be on odo. or trip A
